The Norfolk Diet is about celebrating and sharing all that’s great in Norfolk food and drink.
The Norfolk Diet started in 2010 when Sarah Pettegree decided to try and eat and drink only Norfolk produce for a month. She already knew Norfolk had many great producers but the interest the experiment generated showed not everybody knew about them. She got together a small team to look at ways of encouraging people to find out about and try more food and drink form Norfolk. When Norwich farmers market closed in mid 2010 the group started working on finding a venue and generating interest from both producers and shoppers for a revitalised farmers market. In May 2011 the first market took place at The Forum with 15 stalls.
